The Winding Peninsula

I’ve been making maps and I want to share them. This map has blue, silver, and red cultures. The climate is mild. It rains much of the year.

Blue once lived in the shadow of Silver. They now thrive peacefully on their maritime interests, unbothered but for hill bandits descended from Silver settlers. The wealthy of the capital breed horses they adorn in copper.

Silver has collapsed. Historians describe decadent but educated courtiers with a keen interest in desert poisons. The only people who remain that hold memories of the great city are the violent marsh dwellers of the west, who prefer their soup uncomfortably seasoned.

Red nearly succumbed to religious infighting, but has grown as a secular republic. Its trading fleet is modest compared to Blue, but dynamic with recent success, they continue to expand. Their spices and furs are unrivaled.
